During this years' Festival De Cannes we decided to stay at the beautiful five-star hotel, Le Mas Candille. Usually, we plump for one of the hotels on the Carlton or the Le Majestic, but this year I felt I wanted to have a little escapism from the frenetic Croisette, and somewhere to unwind after a day of meetings or a long night of parties.
What we discovered at Le Mas Candille was a perfect little oasis of serenity; only a 10-minute drive from the Cannes city centre and 25-minutes from Nice Aeroport it felt like we were nestled in the heart of Provence.
The grounds are stunningly beautiful, with three pools to choose from, a gym and a spa; you couldn't find anywhere more tranquil; and with the sound of bird song waking up, followed by a swim, it really was the perfect antidote to the stress of the Festival and a much needed opportunity to catch my breath!
Our room was very pretty and elegant, with a large marble bathroom, spacious bedroom and balcony which had a sweeping vista of Cannes.
We had no problem requesting vegan adaptations of dishes and the overall hospitality was warm, welcoming and relaxed.
The pool was heated to 32 degrees, so I could swim, even when it rained!
